Felix Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" was originally used as incidental music for Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream. The march was written around 1842 and is one of the most popular and played wedding march. It is most often used as a recessional.  What is remarkable however, is the composer had written the overture to the same play much earlier (around 1826) when he was only 17.  What is even more remarkable is that Mendelssohn wrote his first symphony at the age of 15.

PLAYING TIPS:

If the notes seem too high or to low for you play the itty bitty notes; they work just as well.
